Here's Why I made Lube Light.

My husband and I love personal lubricant and use it pretty often. Sometimes we use it with each other, and we always use it with toys. Sometimes it is necessary; sometimes it is just for fun to add an extra element (warming, tingling, etc) to the experience.
During our relationship, we have honed in on our favorite types and brands. What we reach for the most, based on our personal preference, is silicone based lubricant. If you have always stuck to water based, let me tell you- while both can be pretty messy, silicone is especially difficult to clean up.
Maybe you or your partner are nice and neat with application, but my husband – especially in the heat of the moment – is not. I had my ‘enough is enough’ moment while trying (unsuccessfully) to get lube stains out of our comforter for what felt like the thousandth time.
The obvious solution to some might simply be to turn on the lights, or leave them on when you’re getting busy. That worked for us sometimes, but other times it was just inconvenient. If you get busy in the middle of the night, or early before the sun rises, who wants to get out of bed to get to the light switch?
Maybe some people sleep with their lights on, but we definitely don’t. More than once, one of us got up to get the switch and stubbed a toe on the bed frame or dresser while hastily moving in the dark – talk about a mood killer.
We always keep our lube on the bedside dresser or in the top drawer. It is always within arm’s reach, with no one having to leave the bed in the middle of playtime. It just made sense to incorporate a solution into an item we already had right there.

And when we talked to friends and family about it, we quickly realized we weren’t the only ones who felt that way.
When we designed Lube Light, we found out some fun little ‘bonus’ features our little bottle has. Our personal favorite? The light is just enough so that it can be left on to create mood lighting in an otherwise dark room. So in the middle of the night, we could instantly get some great ambience by leaving the lid open after using the lube. Win-win!

Tired of messy sheets and slippery hands, Aaron and Erin decided to dedicate their time to creating Lube Light. Married and curious, they noticed something missing from the market, something no one had dreamed up before: the perfect lube dispenser with a light that keeps the heat of the moment front and center, or on all fours. Plenty of prototypes and hard work later, they created the world’s first illuminated lid system. Let’s keep playtime light, sex fun, and keep things slippery.
